Adam Has Arrived

Well of course much has happened in the six months since we last wrote. Our little dude arrived on the 22nd of July at 5:22am. It was ten hours of labor with Adam’s heart rate dropping often enough that the doctors were pretty worried. It was finally time to push and Adam’s heart rate fell dramatically once again so they rushed us in for an emergency cesarean. The epidural had partially worn off while the pushing process was being started so they had to put me under. Everything in the surgery went well and our little Adam was born weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces and measuring 19 ½ inches in length. He was amazingly beautiful from the get-go. He looked just like his daddy when he was born. Something I did not in the least resent since I think his daddy is quite a hottie.

It has been almost three months now since we became parents. We are still exhausted despite the fact that Adam is sleeping partially through the night now (something we thank Heavenly Father for daily). In spite of all the exhaustion, pain, and adjusting our life has gone through, there is, of course, no way we could imagine our lives without him. He is the best and most important blessing in our lives. His smiles make everything seem like sweet bliss and his obvious love and affection for both of us make us more and more attached to him every day.
