Adam is Great

Adam is great. He is a constantly growing and learning new things and he never ceases to amaze me. He has learned that when you add pleeeeease onto the end of any request you are extremely likely to get what you want. Especially when you say it to Dad who tends to be more of a sap. I fear he is benefiting far too much from being the first child. He has also learned to narrate his life. For example: Upon finding Adam with his finger up his nose I asked him what he thought he was doing. His reply was "I'm picking my nose." I really couldn't argue with that since it was, in fact, the correct response to my question. He has also learned that when you play along with mom in pretending that there is a baby hiding somewhere in her stomach you get major praise from your parents and perhaps even a treat (if you add a pleeeeease to your request after playing along). Finally he has learned the joys of vacuuming. This is perhaps my favorite aspect of Adam right now. The area under my couch cushions has never been cleaner. It is truly one of his favorite things to do and he sometimes spends a half hour or so quietly vacuuming. I wonder what the child labor laws say about that. Anyway, he is great. I love to watch him become a person.
