During the end of February the boys and I drove down to California to visit my Grandma Bev and my parents. It was my first nine hour trip alone with the boys and I was a little nervous to be sure. Thanks to many prayers from friends and family we made it there and back with no problems and only a little complaining on the boys' part. Thank heavens! We had so much fun in California despite the fact that we were only there for a few days. It was wonderful.
James loving his great-grandma Bev. He fell asleep in her arms a few minutes later. It was so sweet.
Adam loves his grandma Pamela. They have the best conversations together.
Adam and James outside on the grass. Look at those dirty knees! I love when my boys play hard.
Adam on my parent's new swing set. I don't really know why he chose this moment not to smile. He loved climbing through the bars.
This is what I get when I tell my boys to smile for the camera. One out of three isn't a great number but I'll take it I guess.
Caleb being amused by this swing that he couldn't get to swing.
Caleb fell asleep in this swing while we were there. It was cute but boy did it mess up his nap schedule.
James showing me something he found on the grass. He wasn't really a fan of the grass but he tolerated it so he could do some exploring.
James and cousin Emmett. I think James is pointing the way to adventure and fun. Luckily they can't get very far yet.
James LOVES Emmett. When he saw him for the first time this trip he launched into a really long conversation about ........ I'm still not quite sure what he was saying but James thought it was really important information and smiled the whole time he was talking. I think they must be kindred spirits.
Cutest cousin ever! What a satisfying trip.
