The Bergs competed in our first Pinewood Derby this year. I have to say that although making the racer with Adam was fun, I was not partial to the actual racing portion of the activity. After all, only one boy can win the Pinewood Derby and that means that there are a dozen more boys who lose. And why do they lose? Because their parents lack the skills necessary to design and create a fast racer. Seems like a weird tradition to me. Nevertheless, we participated in it and were awarded a participation ribbon for our efforts. Yay for Pinewood Derby?

Adam and his mighty blow dryer! We were running out of time on the day of the inspection and the spray paint he was using wasn't drying quite quick enough.

Caleb came with us although he was super bored and fell apart halfway though. We will remember that for next year.
Adam's car is one of those blurs on the track. You can watch this if you want to see them go! Good job for participating Adam!
