End Of School Activities

As May rolled around the activities at school intensified. It appeared that everyone wanted to go out with a bang.

There was a fundraiser held at school and James, lucky boy that he is, won some prizes. You can see him waiting confusedly for someone to hand him what he had won at the school assembly.

I caught sight of my super cute Caleb sitting in the mass of students.

Adam won something as well but he was not very impressed with the Harry Potter book bag. There's no accounting for taste.

James' second prize of the night. He sure is a lucky boy. Seriously now. Who does that?

On top of winning two random drawings, James also got the opportunity to help silly-string the principal because he ran the most laps in his grade during the fun-run the month before. He thought it was pretty amazing.

James' class performed in an end-of-year kindergarten presentation. This was the only real picture I got of James during the performance because he kept sliding back behind the kid in black. He did an awesome job singing though.

James and dad after the performance.

James and mom on the way to the BYU Paleontology museum for a field trip. He was super happy that I got to ride in the bus with him.

I also got to act as chaperone for Adam and a few of his classmates when they visited the Living Planet Aquarium. Luckily, I didn't lose anyone and everyone seemed to have a good time although, towards the end, the college-aged workers were super glad to see us go. My group of boys was getting just a little rambunctious.

In the shark tunnel.  Oooooooo..........

In the mouth of the shark. Adam loves sharks and wildlife so this was a fun trip for him.

My son has conquered the whale!

One day late in the school year the administration turned on the back sprinklers and let the kindergarten classes each have a turn playing in the water. Let me tell you, it was a big hit.

They were supposed to be learning about paper and pulp here but they really just enjoyed the mess.

James' class was the last one to participate which meant there was a huge mud puddle that the kids took advantage of. They had so much fun.

The first graders crossed the street to the park and had a field day with lots of great games. Caleb enjoyed the limbo for sure.

He also enjoyed the Popsicles he got to eat during the break.

The kids loved tug of war and played together several times.

He's giving it his all! Go Caleb! Go! What an amazing school we go to!
