In February we were blessed with a visit from some friends from Brazil. Sonia, her sons, Pietro and Felipe, and her niece Leka, all made the long journey from Sao Paulo to our home in Utah. We were so happy to see them and spend some time with them. What was initially supposed to be a month long visit turned into five as COVID hit and boarders were closed stopping them from returning home. I am so grateful for the time we had together and for the things we learned as a family.
A selfie from one of their long plane rides.
Adam was overjoyed to hold Felipe. He is infatuated with babies and always wants to "boop" them. To have one of his own for a few months was heaven.
Leka was greeted by an excited Rebekah and an over-excited Gabby when she arrived.
Pietro and James made fast friends and they still talk about each other to this day.
Like I said, he was in heaven.
Adam wasn't the only one who wanted to hold the baby. Caleb took plenty of turns during family scripture study.
And James helped me babysit on many occasions.
He was a pretty happy baby.
The friends that eat Captain Crunch together stay together.
Felipe turned many months while he was with us and Sonia celebrated each and every one which meant there were always cupcakes in our near future.
My little buddy. So fun to hold a baby that wasn't mine and to be able to give him back if he cried.
She is the best momma. So glad these boys have her.
Rebekah and Pietro played together lots because the boys were still in school.
They played on tablets together.
Played in ice together.
As a sisterhood we decided to attend the temple often during their visit. Sonia and Kate stopped for a selfie after a session. What a blessing to live so close to the House of The Lord!
