Both children are sleeping at the same time. I didn’t quite think it possible. My bet is that Caleb will wake up first. He is the more random of the two. Life is starting to settle down in the Berg household. I am thrilled to be a mom and not a student. I love my boys. Eric is back to working full time. He has to struggle every day with Adam who thinks he wants to go to work as well and runs for the door as soon as Eric starts to kiss everyone goodbye. Then I get to struggle with Adam as Eric closes the door behind him. Obviously tying up loose ends is the mother’s job.
We celebrated Easter a little late on Sunday. Adam is still too young to keep track of the holidays and Caleb is still too young to know what a holiday is. As it was, I forgot about it until just a few hours before church. Luckily, we had already purchased all the ne

cessary Easter basket items a few days before and I was able to distract Adam while Eric filled the eggs and hid them in the front room. As one of Adam’s favorite things is candy, Easter is really a miraculous holiday for him. Amusingly, he has lost his interest in chocolate as a food source and prefers to hold it in his hand for extended periods of time rather than eat it. He then proceeds to wipe the melted chocolate all over the carpet, furniture, and his clothes. After a few times of this I decided we needed to do away with the chocolate and hid it in the closet. This act included hiding the small chocolate Easter bunny we had purchased. Adam forgot about the bunny until he woke up yesterday morning and found the empty wrapper

on the living room floor. It seems that Eric still likes chocolate and found the bunny a tempting offer in our household with few yummy snacks. Adam remembered what his father had done all through lunch and dinner and Eric finally had to take him to the store to purchase a new bunny. I can’t blame Eric. I would have eaten the bunny myself but Caleb’s digestive system doesn’t like second hand chocolate and I am already paying for a previous dip into the chocolate candy container.
Caleb from the living room: Waaaahhhhh!!!!
Me: Adam, did you touch the baby?
Adam: No.
Caleb continuing to cry in the living room.
Me: Adam, did you kiss the baby?
Adam: Yes.
