Living with my parents while doing this internship has been so helpful. They have provided us with food, lodging, and love. It has been wonderful to watch the relationship between my mom and dad and the boys grow and deepen during our time here thus far. It has been especially fun to watch them bond with our new James. What a blessing it is to be here with them while he is so new to the world. Also, I never would have been able to find anyone as competent, caring, and protective as my sister Kate is to watch the boys while I am interning six hours a day. They adore her and she them. What a blessing she has been to our family in the last year.
Leaving Eric for such a long period of time has been hard for all of us. Caleb has been especially crabby since we left Utah. He is very much a daddy's boy. Two weekends ago Eric came to visit us for a few days and everyone was deliriously happy. As a treat, my dad took us all to the Lake Elsinore Storm which is the local Class A baseball team. Eric tells me that Class A is lowest in the baseball hierarchy. However, since I rarely pay any attention to the game, that really doesn't matter to me and on this visit in particular I was having way to much fun watching my oh-so-amazing-children to give the Storm their due.
This was the five seconds I paid attention to the game (sorry honey). Why does baseball move soooooo slow?
This is their mascot who did strange things during the game to entertain us. Caleb saw him up close later and couldn't decide what to make of him. Too bad I was to slow with my camera then.
Adam smiled so much during the game. He wasn't really paying attention. He just adored being out with the people he loves.
Is this a "take me out the ballgame" picture or what!?
Eric trying to control the uncontrollable.
Sweetest smile ever.
When they got bored they decided to check out the fans behind us. I don't think the people were very happy. You will see later.
Cute boy.
Grandpa took Adam to play on the grass during the game. There were some darling videos but I am having problems getting them off of his phone. We will see........
Caleb is so light that people had to hold his seat down for him. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.
Eat and sleep were what James did during the game. It's a good thing those are his two favorite things ever.
Right after this he started clapping with the crowd. I love when they pretend to get it.
Grandpa wearing Adam's too-small-hat. Adam insisted and Grandpa was kind enough to comply.
Caleb loving it.
James in a rare moment of wakefulness.
My sweet boys (and my sweet dad).
