Caleb was a little timid at first. There was a river of water a few inches deep that the kids could frolic in. He was a little unsure about getting his shoes wet.
However, after a few minutes I couldn't stop him from leaping in over and over again.
There were also jets that would spray arcs of water over or at the kids depending on where they were standing. Caleb was soon drenched.
This one makes it look like Caleb is the one spraying the water.
Absolute joy.
James thought the river was way fun until he fell in it. He wasn't hurt but the shock was too much for him for a few minutes. Luckily he got over it pretty quickly and returned to splashing.
There is a smile on that very wet face.
Adam didn't really like the unpredictability of the river/jets but her did like the waterfall.
Caleb played with it for a minute too before returning to his jumping.
James would have enjoyed the waterfall a lot more had he not been frozen by this time. Luckily I had brought some extra clothes for him and he was soon warm again.
There were other jets that were more predictable and therefore more to Adam's liking. Eric taught him how to cover them with his feet and he had fun after that.
Stopping the flow of water.
James in new clothes trying to see if he could get wet again.
Adam really enjoyed the playground attached to the Splash Pad. It was all we could do to keep him near us.
Luckily Caleb wanted to spend some time there as well. The playground was a little big for him (the sign said it was meant for kids ages 5-12) but he managed to climb up there anyway.
He was too short to look at anything but the sky.
Life is good as a Berg boy.
