Oh my heavens! Adam finished kindergarten! Who would have thought last August that we would have accomplished the thing we set out to do and Adam would have grown so much. For those of you who are not aware, we had no intention of sending Adam to Kindergarten last year. We had actually decided to hold him back a year because of his Sensory Processing Disorder. I had called the school district earlier in the year to get him tested for his SPD, but their waiting list was really long and we decided to just plow along with our original plan thinking that they could never administer the tests in time for the start of the school year. About mid July they called us and told us that they had had a cancellation. With great trepidation I took him in to be tested and, after much agony and pondering, registered him for Kindergarten the next day. It was such a scary experience for both of us. I am so, so grateful that Heavenly Father opened a way for us to have such a good first time school experience. Adam grew so much socially, mentally, and emotionally. It was AMAZING!
Adam and his graduating class. He was scanning the crowd for us.
He got all excited listening to his teacher talk before they all "walked" to get their diplomas.
Ms. Holly and Adam. There were cuter pictures of Ms. Holly but I figured Adam was the most important person here for the purpose of our family blog.
Sorry the next few are so fuzzy. I forgot to take it off video mode.
Memo to me: Next time your child graduates from Kindergarten, don't be afraid to bring your huge dslr camera to take pictures. It will be worth it at blogging time.
The happy graduate and his equally happy little brother.
Surveying the crowd after graduation.
Man he is cute! And yes, that is a kit-kat he is holding in his hand. I'm afraid his teacher had to bribe him to get him into the cap and gown. Totally worth it.
