Well, it's the last day of June but I made it with an hour and a half left to spare. Yay me! Some things I wanted to remember...
Caleb caught his wrist on our wrought iron stair rail on his way down to visit us one night. It was pretty bad, poor thing, and it seemed to really affect him. He had to wear a bandaid for a few days (something my boys hate) and thought the whole thing was a real nuisance. He was so happy when it finally healed. Even now he sometimes looks at it and says to me: "Look mom! It's all better!"
Adam broke this while I was busy washing dishes. It slid to it's demise very slowly and quietly and it took me a while to realize what had happened to it. We had just barely bought it a few weeks earlier. Kids!
He naps like his daddy.
Another trip to the doctor for parotitis. I got a prescription for antibiotics but he hated taking it so I used melaleuca instead and it cleared it up the next day. Gotta love essential oils.
So sometimes the Berg boys are a little rowdy in church. When I say rowdy I mean throwing toys into other aisles, beating each other up, laughing out loud, and trying to escape to parts unknown. Occasionally we have to just get up and move to the primary room to wait out sacrament meeting. Let's face it, we make quite a spectacle of ourselves whether we stay or whether we go. This is Adam, all riled up in the primary room.
Caleb, pretending that he is being sweet.
James, worried that I will make him sit in this chair one minute longer than absolutely necessary.
David, stressing that I wasn't giving him my complete and undivided attention. Poor baby. I have so little sympathy after I have been booted from my comfy pew.
I woke up one morning to find this poking out from underneath James's door. I assume he was trying to dig his way out.
Caleb loves his otter pops.
Adam being silly.
Caleb being sillier.
The last weekend of the month Eric and I left our hooligans with their Aunt Kate for 48 hours and took our first real vacation in.....well, ever. We had so much fun. Have I mentioned I love this man? It was so good to spend time with him and be able to finish a sentence without someone needing juice or a cracker or a diaper change. Maybe someday they will all move out and it can be like that all the time. What a weird thought.... We remembered on the way home that we hadn't taken any pictures so I pulled out my camera. Eric wasn't even looking since he was driving at the time but I think it turned out ok anyway. I, of course, was happy to see my babies again although they didn't really seem to miss us. I guess Aunt Kate was just too awesome a substitute. Yay for vacations away from children!
