Rebekah Was Born

Have I mentioned we have a new baby? HER name is Rebekah. That's right. I said her. We finally managed to produce a girl. I still had my doubts about the realness of the whole thing up until the moment the doctor pulled her out and made the official proclamation. I am so grateful for our new little one. She has been such a blessing and I feel her camaraderie and companionship already. Yay for girls!
Me pre-surgery. Nervous as can be and wishing it was already over for many reasons.

Our newest addition. She weighed 7lbs 3oz. One of the smallest of our babies.

I think she is casting her father a rather accusatory look here. After all, it must be his fault she was yanked from her warm home without warning.

Daddy cuddling his new baby girl.

After she was cleaned up a little they brought her back so I could get a better look at her. She was probably still crying at this point. She was very upset with the whole birthing process......

As you can see for yourself. Not screaming but still unhappy with the idea of being brought out without her permission.

Big yawn for a little girl. That bow didn't stay on very long but it was definitely pink while it was on.

This picture is in color to highlight the pink bracelet I got. I didn't even know they handed out pink bracelets. Yay for girls!

Mother daughter picture. We look tired.

Rebekah has very long feet. The genes of Eric Berg strike again.

This is a perfect snapshot of Rebekah's first day. It took her a long time to get over herself.

Almost a smile.

A love from Grandma Pamela, Rebekah's first visitor.

A love from Aunt Kate too.

Kate came just as the boys showed up with Eric and the swarming began.

Everyone was immediately in love with their new sister. David's love bordered on crazed frenzy.

He really wanted to poke and prod every part of her.

Adam loved his new sister before she was born but he was so excited to meet her in person.

Cuddling with her big brother.

Caleb loved her as well and was so excited to hold her.

Sweet Caleb kisses.

James making sure Eric knew how amazing Rebekah was.

Even now he loves to hold Rebekah and will just chill with her on the couch.

David is a bird of a different feather. He loves Rebekah. But he also loves to try and injure Rebekah.

He couldn't resist trying to pinch her nose shut. Oh David.......

Our new family. Eric is tense, I'm exhausted, James is spacey, the others are blissfully happy and Rebekah, the lucky one, is sleeping. Welcome to our family of seven.

Family photo take two. In a matter of seconds we have lost almost everyone. What in heavens name is James staring at?

Our two little ones watching grandma change Rebekah's diaper. It's just fascinating.

Aunt Kimber and Uncle Kevin came to visit us in the hospital as well. Kimber was the first to hold Rebekah.

Uncle Kevin was swift to follow.

Sethers came too. He thought the baby was ok but was far more interested in the light switch. He has until July to develop some interest because his own little brother is on his way.

Our beautiful girl. Bow = Girl don't you know.

I just want to eat her face! So, so grateful for my little girl.
