The boys love spending time outside with Grandpa Todd when we visit California. He has so many fun tools and animals and they love following him around and "helping him" with his many tasks.
David was especially fond of Grandpa's new pigs this time around. He sat down right next to them and began to play in the dirt just like they were playing. It put a whole new light on the whole "Pigpen" thing from Charlie Brown.
Speaking of dirt, Adam and Caleb found some shovels and started spreading it around with gusto.
The air was very dusty for quite some time.
Grandpa was pretty busy building pig pens while we were there and Adam was eager to help him succeed.
My mighty drilling man.
Grandpa also moved some baby peacocks while we were there. The boys were very helpful in showing him the way to the new pen.
David wanted to wring a scrawny neck.
Adam, as always, was a little cautious around the animals.
Grandpa had to make some improvements to a pen before he transfered some of the smaller peacocks. David was very helpful in standing right where Grandpa needed to be.
Catching baby peacocks in a net.
Everybody helped put them in the new pen, even Boaz.
Boaz also gave David a little love.
David trying to convince me that we should go inside for some food.
Caleb telling Grandma the story of the great peacock transfers.
Adam striking a pose.
David following suite.
Caleb being his own kind of cute.
James wanted to help Grandpa too but found his task a little daunting.......
Afterall, those turtles are pretty big. What a brave boy!
