We arrived in California a few days before the banquet to spend some time with the grandparents. It was so nice to see them and to be in warm weather. February in Utah is so cold!
Rebekah's first ice cream cone. She liked it but kept getting brain freeze which freaked her out a little.
Caleb LOVES ice cream. It's one of his favorite things and Grandpa was nice enough to make him an ice cream cone TWICE. So blessed!
James flipped this bench over to use as a temporary bed. He was quite proud of his own creativeness.
One of the boys decided to play dress-up with Rebekah. I guess she was supposed to be Mario for the day.
My mom and I went shopping one day with Rebekah and I took her into the fitting room with me. She thought being able to see me in the mirror was amazing! She was not partial to the other baby she saw though. How dare I spend time with another baby!
Grandma Pamela made sugar cookies for the boys to frost. Everyone enjoyed their cookies in a different way. Frosted sugar cookies are Adam's favorite and he methodically frosted and ate, frosted and ate.
Caleb loves lots of frosting AND lots of sprinkles.
David loves frosting so much that he licked it all off and left the cookie.
And James loves frosting so much that he skipped the cookie altogether.
Love this silly boy.
Caleb is getting so big!
Rebekah found some chocolate and helped herself. She is a chocolate fiend.
Swings are so much fun!
A happy girl, even in her filth.
One of grandpa Todd's big turtles died while we were there and all the boys pitched in to give it a proper burial. The whole thing made David quite giddy. He said, with a smile on his face, "The turtle not get me anymore!" I personally don't remember the turtle ever purposely trying to "get" David but he obviously felt differently about the matter.
Dad is always so amazing and Emmett seemed to enjoy watching him play just as much as Adam and Caleb did. I love when the cousins can be together, even if it is just for a few short days.
I found James and Emmett together later that day enjoying a movie on the tv. It was a wonderful visit.
