Oh my goodness! My little girl turned one! I'm just so amazed that this last year has passed so fast and I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father has given me this one little pink thing in a sea of blue.
Birthday presents for the birthday girl. The shoes were just wishful thinking on my part. She has yet to use them. I wonder if she will ever get up and walk......
Look at this adorable smash cake that Kate decorated! Such beautiful pearls!
As you can see here, Eric's refusal to let her touch the cake during our rendition of Happy Birthday. resulted in her being a little cautious about touching it when we were done.
David stepped in to give her a little tutorial.
She seemed to get the hang of it pretty quick after that and soon she was covered in pink frosting and pink cake.
Smashed to smithereens!
This is the cake the rest of us ate. If it looks like a boy decorated it.....
It's because four of them did! Proud cake decorators!
And, just like with her smash cake, they all blew out the candles so Rebekah wouldn't have to.
After cake and a bath, Rebekah was a little intimidated by her enormous present so dad helped her get started.
For a while there she thought the wrapping paper was her present.
And she seemed pretty happy with that idea.
Little did she know it was actually her new carseat! Presents are so boring when you are one and your parents take advantage of you not grasping the whole birthday thing.
The boys also appreciated Rebekah's present, or at least the box it came in. You can watch what they did with the box here if you want.
