Halloween 2016

Halloween is awesome when you are a child. Dress up, parties, and candy. You really can't go wrong.

Caleb got to prticipate in a Halloween parade around his school and the kids and I went to watch him. As you can see, he had great fun.

We went trick or treating with Seth and Andrew this year and boy did we have fun!

The title for this costume was ninja of death. We discarded the mask and hood and made him the most darling ninja that ever existed instead.

The transformer bumblebee.

Woverine. He couldn't stop showing us his big muscles.

Captain America. I had to fix his shield three times before we left the house that night because he kept using it as a weapon.

Fairy princess girl. She was supposed to be an angel but the halo bugged her so I cut it off. She was just happy to wear a pretty dress.

Seth the vampire.

Let's go!

Joseph and Kevin at a creepy house with the kids.

Trick or treaters.

These two were super cute. Andrew wanted to eat every single peice of candy he collected and Kevin had to give him little peices to keep him walking. Rebekah refused to be carried or pushed in a stroller. She walked the block just like her brothers and collected candy like a pro.

This daddy loves his baby girl.

Captain America got a sucker.

This was supposed to be Eric's costume but everyone took a turn with it......

.........

.........

........everyone.

We stopped by Kay Davenport's home again this year and she insisted on gathering us all up for a picture before the kids got their bag of microwave popcorn. Somehow Aunt Kate escaped......

When we got home it was time to dump out the candy and do our evaluation. Rebekah kept bringing me candy to open. She would then take one bite, drop it on the floor, and bring me something else to open. We went through alot of candy that first night.

David was pleased with his haul.

James and his stash.

I think Caleb won the award for the most candy. He must have snuck some while no one was looking.

And my proud ninja of death. We tried to implment candy trading this year which resulted in Adam taking the candy he didn't want to his brothers' piles and taking what he wanted from them without doing any actual bargaining. Needless to say, there were some arguments that needed to be resolved by the parents. Obviously, we will need to work on the concept for next year.

Later that night after bedtime I was working on my computer which is to the left of these stairs. David came down and asked me for something. I told him I would be right up and turned back to finsih what I was doing. When I got up a few minutes later I was greeted with this sight. Halloween is so tiring when you are little :)
