California: Outside

We also have fun outside when we visit California.

We even have fun outside while driving to California. For example, we sometimes loiter in the McDonald's parking lot to stretch our legs during our journey.

And try our climbing skills.

Cousin party in the van!

Such a cute boy!

Or should I say boys......

Once we get to California the kids quickly make themselves at home in the outdoors.

Andrew and his teeter-totter.

Jimmer and his dog Boaz. He would take him home with him in an instant if grandpa gave the ok (and if I wanted a large animal in my van for ten hours).

This beautiful girl was infatuated with Grandma's beautiful flowers.

Face maker for the camera.

The new baby pigs got the once over from the boys.

They seemed to check out ok.

Adam helped grandpa feed branches to the big boar who accepted them gratefully.

There were cute baby chicks to hold and everyone got a chance. I love everyone's different approaches to holding chicks. Caleb is assured and giddy.

Adam is worried and cautious.

James decided he needed some assistance this time around. Grandpa was happy to oblige.

Grandma Bev stopped to check the turtles out on her way up to the house which gave everyone an opportunity to do the same.

Seth became a very adept taxi driver for a few minutes there. Andrew was his first passenger.

Followed by David.

Followed by James.

They tried to convince Seth that it was his turn to ride but he turned them down. Luckily, Andrew was willing to step in as a passenger.

Happy cousin time. I love these boys!

Life in the outdoors is great at Grandma's and Grandpa's!
