Pre-Christmas Celebrations

December means Christmas and all the Christmas celebrations that come with it. Our family had tons of fun leading up to Christmas and I have pictures to prove it.

A friend's of Eric's sent the boys a box of Skylanders. A WHOLE box full of Skylanders. They couldn't believe their eyes and poured over every figurine as they were lifted out of the box. Thank you Nate Akiva!

James was in a Christmas presentation at school. If you squint you can see a little boy dressed in orange in the second row back on the stage. This momma didn't get the memo that the kids were supposed to come dressed in Christmas colors and sent him in his school uniform instead. Mom fail!

Luckily he didn't seem to notice and was just happy that both mom and dad were there to watch him perform.

This hat was his costume for the presentation.

He was pretty stinking happy with it and wanted me to take picture after picture.

Our primary put on a small nativity for the ward Christmas party. Caleb was one of the shepherds and James was one of the sheep. It was really too cute.

Aunt Kate, amazing person that she is, helped the kids make a Christmas Tree craft. They hung in their bedrooms for a long time.

A crazy Christmas Tree mobile. Just as crazy as my children!

Aunt Kate also made everyone green Rice Krispy treats for the season. They were a hit with young and old.

And that's not all, she also made peanut butter balls, peanut clusters, fudge, and so many other goodies. The kids were in treat heaven.

David helped his teacher, Karen Schlosser, tell the story of the nativity in his primary class. He loves her so much!

We bought a few games for Christmas and this was one of them. It must not have gone over very well because I can't remember the name of it and I can't remember playing it again but it was nice to spend some excited time together as a family.

Kate helped the kids make paper chains to count down the days until Christmas. We stuck them high up on the ceiling in the hopes David would leave them alone and it worked for the most part. This was our photo from December 23rd. So close!
