California

California is always so much fun for our little brood. There is always so much to do and see.

Cookie decorating is a must every time we go to Grandma's house.

Adam branched out and used blue AND green frosting this time around.

Caleb had to take a frosting break midway through decorating his cookies.

These are two happy boys.

Yellow is James' new favorite color. I'm so glad he has the confidence to keep changing his mind. I also hope he settles on a permanent one soon because I feel a little like I have whiplash from all the mind changing.

Green frosting for my green loving David.

He switched from using a butter knife to a spoon halfway through. A spoon is so much more effective for shoveling frosting you know.

Rebekah made such a big mess with her sprinkles. However, she didn't seem to comprehend that fact at all and just kept eating frosting.

David got some frosting on his foot.........

Adam had to build a few things out of wood for one of his cub scout requirements. Grandpa helped him build a bird feeder.

And a card holder. He was pretty happy with both of his accomplishments and we use those card holders every time we play a card game as a family.

Grandpa always has lots to do outside including unloading totes full of pig feed. He was nice enough to let the boys help even though it took him twice as long to finish.

Buried in pig feed.

This happy boy helped the longest. He is so cute.

David would talk to these pigs until they jumped up on the side of the pen to talk back to him. He was thrilled with their attention.

Grandma went to talk to the boar. Rebekah was super scared of him (rightfully so) since he was so much bigger than her. She kept her distance throughout the conversation.

I went outside to look for Bekah and found her in the turtle pen on top of their den. She would not come back inside.

David found this object and wanted me to take a picture of it. Mission accomplished my dear.

These two have an increased interest in the turtles recently. We have to watch them closely so they don't get too interested.....

This is what my babies do while I am gone. Don't they look so bored?

A picture to document how dirty my children get while we are in California. Wowser!

We had a visit from an old friend while we were in California and she brought her newest baby with her. Adam fell in love immediately. Such a perfect smile!

My mom found some matte lipstick and gave it to me thinking it was mine. It was a little shocking for my usually bare lips.

The days in California are exciting and long and the kids crash hard every night. Sometimes they crash so hard that they can sleep through almost anything, even feet in the face. Yay for California!
