The Randomness Of May

Oh the things that happened in May!

Eric got a $10,000 bonus at work (YAY) and his boss decided to give it to him in $2 bills. Yes, that is what 5,000 $2 bills look like. Eric decided to give us all a treat by "showering" us in  money when he got home from work. The kids thought it was absolutely fabulous until we had them turn the money in so we could deposit it.

I got to take the cash to the bank the next day to deposit it. It took three bank tellers and one very stubborn cash counting machine to get it all deposited. It broke no fewer than four times during the process.

While I get ready in the mornings Rebekah uses my phone to watch her "shows." Currently Dora The Explorer is the favorite. As you can see, she's not the only one who feels she has to be nearby when I get ready in the mornings.

David has a thing for patterns. He's so talented!

We used the gift cards that the kids won during their fox-trot assembly to take everyone out for ice cream. I guess the giant chalkboard in the ice cream shop made the ice cream a little less tempting for a few of the kids.

Adam had a selfie moment.

David is definitely the tallest one in his primary class. I wonder if this will be a lifelong occurrence?

Once a day for just a few minutes my chandelier throws hundreds of pretty rainbows on my wall. I am such a fan of those few minutes.

Rebekah hurt her hand in church and wanted me to take a picture of it to show to grandma.

When I failed to get the angle she wanted, she demanded I take another one. Yes princess........

Speaking of princess, I think she's probably the only one he will allow on his back.

The tv still wasn't mounted in May which meant the boys weren't close enough until their noses were pressed against the screen. Glasses here we come.

She's got her own way of gettin' around.

These three made a hide-out in one of our trees which meant we lost them for a bit. You can see how happy they were to have fooled us.

Sweetest David.

Dog pile on DAD! I'm lovin' my family and the grand old month of May.
