Temples and Conference

It's an odious business trying to keep up with the exploits of our large family. As you can see, I'm already three years behind schedule with no sign that I may be catching up anytime soon. Still, I plough ahead, sure in the knowledge that one day this will be my legacy. One day my children and their children will pour lovingly over these entries and think "Wow. She was really something, wasn't she?" (Insert sarcastic wink here).

And so we begin again.

The temples were closed in April of 2020 due to the Covid pandemic but that didn't stop us from visiting them often. We would stand outside their gates and offer up our quiet prayers.

We visited all we could within a 20 mile radius. Since we lived in Happy Valley there were many of them at our disposal.

My prayer friend and me.

Conference that April was made more enjoyable by these huge coloring pages provided by Grandma Cheryl.

There was so much to do and so much to look at.

Occasionally our listening was interrupted by play fighting and wrestling.

Occasionally we found a moment for quiet contemplation.

More often than not we spent the time eating more than we should.

Or taking needed naps.

Very needed, apparently. I love sharing conference weekends with my family.
