4th of July

The 4th of July celebrations lacked a little something in 2020 because Eric had already moved to Oklahoma for his new job and we were living on our own. However, we still managed to light some things up for our enjoyment.

Setting off some snappers and looking very pleased with himself while doing it.

The long line for the snappers. It looks like I need an extra pair of hands there.

Running from flying snappers.

That driveway is completely littered with little papers.

Adding to the mess and the noise. Oh my goodness!

Waiting patiently for his turn.

Ditto.

This lovely boy was so excited to join in the fun.

My oldest is all too willing to make some noise!

Chasing a brother just for good measure.

The ground is covered in white litter!

I drew circles on the ground in sidewalk chalk to help everyone be safe during sparkler time.

It worked pretty well and we only ended up with one small burn. Hooray!

Luckily concrete is hard to set on fire.

James loves that spark!

She can't decide if she's happy or sad about the whole thing.

Lighting some smoke bombs. Four at one time it appears.

Walking through smoke.

Laying down in the smoke?

Leaping through smoke.

Jumping though smoke.

Beckoning your brothers to conga line through the smoke.

There they go! Needless to say they all needed a shower afterwards.

One of the best parts about our Springville house was our ability to sit on the hill and watch the fireworks being set off all over the valley.

The fireworks show was always accompanied by treats and drinks.

What an amazing view! Happy 4th of July!
