July brought the extended visit of our Brazilian friends to an end. It was bittersweet to see them go. They had been with us for seven months and it was weird to imagine life without them but with our impending move to Oklahoma, and the lessening of travel restrictions due to COVID, it was time for them to fly home.
I made time for one last trip to the temple with my dear friend.
Wishing we could go in but content to be near it.
Happy girl.
When packing day came David took a moment to hide himself in a suitcase in the hopes he could travel to Brazil with them. Thank goodness he was discovered ;)
There were hugs and cards containing fond farewells for Pietro .
There were so many hugs for Leka.
She was thoroughly smothered.
Many times over.
These two were full of cuddles for the baby who had come to our house as a sleepy infant and had left as a full fledged crawler.
We couldn't tear him away from them.
One last hug for Leka from the Bekah girl.
Adam holds a sweet spot in this brave woman's heart. This picture makes me so happy.
Goodbye my friends! It was so good to share this time together!
