Our Halloween (yes I know that I am way behind on holidays here) started with the ward Halloween carnival. Adam and Caleb were not very excited about the prospect of a carnival; Adam because he is Adam and Caleb because he was tired. James really didn't care one way or another thank goodness. We couldn't really decide what to have them wear costume wise because Adam won't really wear anything beyond his normal blue and blue and Caleb won't wear anything abnormal unless Adam is wearing it too. We finally settled on handyman costumes which meant jeans, sweatshirts, and a tool bag. Caleb's tools were so heavy that he hobbled wherever he went but he loved being the proud owner of his own tools. Sorry there aren't many smiles here. It was a few hard fought nights.
Picking a candy after the bean bag toss.
Ring toss for Adam.
Ring toss for Caleb.
A room with balloons and music for Caleb. He loved this room and wouldn't stop dancing even when they offered him a candy. It was nice to see him enjoying himself.
Our actual trick-or-treating started with a visit to Aunt Kate's room for candy.
By the time Halloween night rolled around we had gotten official handyman costumes for the boys. Adam LOVED the goggles that came with.
At least Eric has his eyes open here. Caleb never quite caught on to asking for candy. He was so cute though that nobody seemed to care and they gave him plenty of candy anyway.
It was James' year as the banana. He was NOT impressed with the arrangement because he couldn't crawl and had to be held the whole time. When we got home and I put him down he immediately rolled over and tried to escape. Poor baby.
Happy banana.
Goggle boy.
