Before Christmas Morning

We arrived in California the Saturday before Christmas which gave us plenty of time to settle in and enjoy ourselves before the big day. As I sat looking at all the pictures I had taken I decided to make three big groups to make it easier for myself. So, forgive me if I bore you, but......this is California before Christmas morning.

The boys got an early Christmas present from Aunt Kate. Their very own Kindle! There were smiles all around.

They couldn't believe their luck.

James thought it was especially amazing which is funny since he really didn't know what it was.

Grandma and Grandpa have a tetherball in the backyard. Caleb likes balls. James likes dirt. It was a win-win

I'm sure in a few years Caleb will give Grandpa a run for his money. Until then....

Yes, that is my husband trying to play tetherball with David in his arms. It took him a moment to realize that singing balls and babies don't really mix.

Jumping for joy.

Aunt Kate gave Adam this Squirtle Pokémon and it went everywhere with him while we were there. He wanted me to take many pictures of it.

My cute baby.

My cute toddler. Why is his face always dirty?

David took a bath in grandma's sink.

He really liked it.

Uncle Taylor took a moment to wrestle with the boys on Grandma's bed.

They were in heaven.

Cousin Emmett was a little confused as to why his dad was playing with someone other than him. It's hard to share when you're one.

David trying his hand at pushups. He was crawling the week after we came home.

Aunt Lauren spent some time throwing some balls for her two little dogs to retrieve. My boys thought the whole process was very entertaining.

My boys. I asked for a smile and this is what I got.

We made cookies for Santa that everyone had to taste. I'm not quite sure why Emmett looks evil here. Maybe he didn't like the cookies I made....

My confident eldest and my moody two-year-old. Santa's cookies were great.
