The Randomness Of May

Oh the random moments of May:

Logan came down for a little bit one day to give us a housewarming gift and help us do some packing before the move.

It was his first time meeting Rebekah. She deemed him grandpa material and quickly fell asleep in his arms.

Just thought I should document my shadows and circles. I seem to have plenty of both these days.

One day I went in to get David up from his nap and found him sleeping in this position. It seems he had dumped a cup of apple juice in the middle of his bed and that corner was the only dry spot he could find. The poor baby had to sleep that way until I cam to get him.

One of my sweet children broke this off my van. Obviously they don't realize the sacrifices I made to earn the right to buy it. Boogers.

Our empty apartment. It treated us well for two whole years, the longest we ever lived in one place. Goodbye Nevada Circle!

Sometimes when you throw a fit and you are tired you end up sleeping on mom's bedroom floor because you don't have the energy necessary to make it to your bed. Silly James.

A moment of family love.

And another.

And another. I have told them NOT to eat the baby. I promise.

And now some Rebekah because I think she is pretty amazing. She was not partial to my camera when she was younger. Hence the big shocked eyes.

She is all pinkness and loveliness now that the jaundice is gone.

She finally learned to smile and I can't help trying to get her to give me one every time we are together. It is such a pretty smile after all.

We lock James and David in their room after a while at night to get them to stop playing and go to sleep. As you can see, they feel they are quite the misunderstood prisoners. If we truly loved them we would let them come out and play.

After they fall asleep, with the light on of course, we go in to check on them. Often we find them in amusing situations. I wonder if he is waiting for the fire.....

And this construction worker better grab his hat before he heads off for work.

We got a new dog in May. We had promised the kids a dog when we bought a new house and Eric finally decided it was time to pay up. As you can see, a puppy wasn't quite what the boys expected. I think they thought my parents' seasoned labradors would suddenly materialize.

There was definitely a lot of fear and unease going on in the car that day.

Until the dog, who was named Ninja by the boys, finally ended up on my lap.

Unfortunately for Ninja, the fear on the boys' side did not last long and he was soon being tortured by my two youngest. Grow fast Ninja buddy. It may be your only means of survival.
