My oldest child has turned eight and I just have to say that I am so very old. Gratefully, my Adam is the most amazing first born ever and that makes being old totally worth it.
Usual Berg wrapping paper: Amazon boxes.
His first pocket knife for all his scouting adventures. Thanks Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Logan!
Skylanders galore! Thanks Grandma Pamela and Grandpa Todd.
Eric trying to impress upon Adam the love we must feel for him to buy him such an expensive gift. He looks convinced.
All the Berg boys love cards from friends and family. They usually contain shopping money. :)
Some birthday party attendees. Everyone has a skylander.......
Adam asks for a pinata every time his birthday rolls around. Because we were celebrating the big 8 this year, we decided to give in and buy him one. That smile says it all.
Higher Adam! Higher!
Caleb gave it a shot with a safer bat.
As did James......
And David,,,,,,,
And Sethers........
We finally came back around to Adam and allowed him hit it dead on with no blindfold. It exploded in starbursts, laffy taffy, and peanut butter cups. Life was good.
Rebekah forgot to get dressed for the party. Good thing she is still in the cute diaper stage.
After the pinata we tried to put mentos in bottles of diet coke to make them explode. Unfortunately we only managed a small gurgling. Luckily the boys have never seen it done for real and didn't seem to care as long as they could paticipate.
Luckily the boys have never seen it done for real and didn't seem to care as long as they could participate.
Drop them David! Drop them!

This was Adam's beautiful birthday cake provided by Aunt Kate. He loves frosted sugar cookies and hates cake so Kate had to get creative. She did an amazing job.
Happy Birthday my Adam! You are the most amazing first born a mother can have.
