Winter Snow

January in Utah means snow. This January it meant lots and lots of snow and the Berg children tried to make the most of every white flake.

This was a blizzard we encountered on the way to pick up Caleb from school one day. It was quite the drive. Thankfully, the school is only a few blocks away and by the time Caleb got in the car it had moved on.

The boys' snowman which was built with help from Dad and Uncle Joseph. They were all pretty pleased with it and mourned its demise some days later.

Our mighty snow plow. Look at that Idaho boy out in nothing but jeans and his office attire. Cold don't bother him!

Eric has fond memories of his dad making gigantic mounds of snow during his childhood and always tries to do the same for our boys when he shovels. This year we got enough snow for him to make a grand hill.

It was even big enough to put a tunnel in one side although James was the only one brave enough maneuver through it.

I wanted to get a big picture of the winter wonderland that was made in our front yard. Snow mound and tunnel on the left. Random branch that the boys "planted" in the snow on the right.

"New tree" on the left. Snowman on the right.

A Berg Boy haven.

What am I saying? It was a haven for all Berg children as this little one wouldn't let anyone go outside without her. She LOVES to eat snow and I had to wrap her hands in plastic bags before I put her mits on to stop them from going numb. She just wouldn't leave it alone.

Gabby was a fan of the snow too. She especially enjoyed playing with her boys in the snow. Look at that boy strike a pose.

Run David! Run!

Up and down went the little children, followed by their faithful pup. I took a video if you want to see the live action.

These three are such good friends. I love it!

Always my ham ;)

While they were out playing and having fun I took a minute to get some portraits. The lighting was excellent, after all. My handsome oldest.

My silly Caleb.

My brown eyed picture perfect.

My sweet boy with a hint of hysteria.

My beautiful girl. what fun we have in the snow!
