Grotto Trail

Still lagging a month behind. I don't see me catching up anytime soon because of the many pictures that come with all of the end-of-the-year holidays. Hopefully, I will manage to not fall even further behind. That being said, we had a wonderful September and I am happy that I get a chance to share a little bit of it with you.

One Saturday Eric got the hiking bug. We loaded up Team Berg and headed up the canyon. Our destination was Grotto Trail, a family friendly hike with log bridges, solid trails, and a waterfall at the end. It was beautiful!

My happy crew waiting to start their hike.

Crossing the stream on rocks. The boys are so agile.

Even when it comes to climbing nearby steep hills.

Rebekah thought she would give it a try as well. She got pretty far for a two-year-old.

When we reached the end of the short trail everyone took their shoes off to play in the water.

It was pretty cold but that didn't stop them. The water and the waterfall were just too tempting.

Yes Rebekah, there's the waterfall! :)

Berg Boys.

A few portraits because their faces are so cute!

Adam tried to climb the walls out of the waterfall area but they were a little too steep. Thank goodness because he was making his momma nervous!

David took a slightly different path than the rest of us on the return trip. He eventually made his way out of the gully and joined his family for the remainder of the trail.

Triumphant hikers!

Pink chilling on the way home.

David chose sleep instead.

As did Caleb. The looks on Adam's and James' faces make me think they should have been sleeping as well. Hiking is hard work!
