We had some early Christmas celebrations in the Berg home this year.
Kate helped the kids make paper advent chains to hang in the family room.
David mid-sentence.
James displaying his chain with gusto.
Caleb did such a good job with his.
Kids hard at work.
This was the finished result. Although the chains spent most of their time on top of the corner piece away from grabbing hands, Kate was very on top of things and every chain was broken by Christmas Day.
We also put our tree up in November. The kids were super helpful (although a little squabbly) and had the ornaments up in record time.
Adam wanted to make sure he put all the high ones up.
David loved them all.
Boys decorating.
The finished product (complete with guard dog). Yay!
In just a few days we found that someone was slowly moving the ornaments and grouping them together according to size, color, and texture. As you can guess, the tree was pretty homely. Thankfully, it wasn't that pretty to begin with so the ornament moving didn't change anything much.
Gabby watching over some ornaments before they went on the tree. From the time we put the tree up to the time we took it down, Gabby and Holly had destroyed about 25% of my ornaments. Silly puppies.
Aunt Kate was nice enough to make Christmas cookies for the kids to decorate.
Everyone had a wonderful time, despite previous injuries.
A little crazy-eyed there, my James.......
And a little unnerving, my Caleb.
But a very proud Adam.
Yay for Christmas preparations!
