We seemed to spend alot of time together as a family in January, or at least that's what we took pictures of. Good for us anyway. It's always good to spend time together even though it may make you a little crazy at the time.
Family home evening one night included learning "I Am a Child of God" in Portuguese. I can't believe they were all sitting still at once. Also, do you like the expression on Eric's face? I think he was doubting my teaching.
Eric had his own training camp for a few weeks there in January. The boys enjoyed it for the most part. Rebekah enjoyed everyone being in the same place at the same time.
David tucked Gabby in for her nap using his own pillowcase as a blanket and James' pillow for a mattress. Gabby looks very comfy.
The family that plays together, makes a big enormous mess together.
They don't seem to mind the mess and neither does their friend Caspian.
Caleb is a brilliant fort builder for the family and came up with this one all on his own.
We love playing games together, especially PIT. It's such an enjoyable game for our family and the boys are good sports while playing it. It makes my heart happy.
Every now and then we get down some math manipulatives and let the boys play with them in a non-math centered way. I say every now and then because it takes me weeks to pick all the little things up again when they are done.
They always get so creative.
And they build the most lovely things.
What an amazing pyramid Adam!
The boys were given a few pieces of over-sized paper to create something individualized.
That red ball is a meteor. I believe we are witnessing the destruction of man.
Caleb drew two warring houses separated by a great wall.
David drew people and a tree. He then proceeded to hold it upside down for the picture taking to add to its originality.
Adam drew a monster. He loves his monsters!
One night in January Eric and I put on our grown-up pants and took everyone to Toys-R-Us to spend the gift cards that the kids had gotten from Grandma Bev for Christmas. Adam bought Skylanders.
Caleb bought a sword.
James bought a Skylanders playhouse.
David bought a desert serving playset and wouldn't stop playing with it long enough for me to take an adequate picture.
Rebekah bought a Moana doll that sings one of the songs from Moana. As you can tell, she was pretty taken with it and wouldn't let it go for a long time. January was an amazing time for family!
