August flew by in a haze and the Berg family loved every minute of it (except when they were arguing or complaining about random aspects of their near perfect lives). Here are some random moments that I didn't want to forget.
We brought kittens home from California and everyone (humans) loved them. Unfortunately, the animal component of our family did not and the kittens had to go. Goodbye Coal and Ash!
This darling boy is sporting an awesome do!
Wowser! Look at that stylin' dude!
My chickens started laying in August. They started a whole month early! I was so proud.
This is pretty much me right now at all times. Goodness life takes its toll.
And this is my handsome husband off to take a flight on one of those little toy airplanes that makes my heart nervous. Luckily he returned safe and sound.
Caleb was "helping" with the dishes. Now who do I get to "help" with the floor.......
Kate took the littles to the park one day. James was having a ball.
Adam was too. So much fun that he couldn't even freeze for a picture.
Same goes for this little girl.
Man he is so polite! Look at him pose for that photo!
Unlike these two who couldn't sit still long enough for a five second photo. Oh well. At least we know that they enjoyed Aunt Kate's surprise.
Grandma Cheryl celebrated a birthday in Burley in August and we all went to show our love for this amazing woman. Such a good looking group!
This boy lost a tooth. I love that smile.
This boy fell asleep on/off his bed. Not quite sure what was happening before he crashed.
A lost tooth and a bloody nose. Poor boy.....
Thank goodness he recovered quickly. I love this face.
The boys played fall soccer last year and David and James were on the same team. In this photo you can see James playing hard with his teammates and David standing way in the background picking flowers. I'm going to chalk it up to it being his first time playing a team sport.
He made a pretty good goalie as long as I paid attention and yelled "heads up! the ball is coming!" every time it came his way.
James was an excellent ball player and always gave it his all.
This girl (who had to attend quite a few games this year) was very confused as to why the attention was focused on her brothers instead of her. Just a little spoiled don't you know.....
And finally, my favorite picture of the month. Yes, that is a human footprint on my windshield. I am raising hooligans. A loud, determined, constantly moving group of perfect hooligans.
So grateful for the randomness of August.
