Life As A College Student

Life as a college student is fascinating and I think the major that I have chosen as well as my current life circumstances make for an even more interesting time. My classmates consist almost entirely of women of varying ages, education, and comportment. The only exception to this occurs when I happen to take a class that applies to my general education and not necessarily my major. For example, the portuguese grammar class I am in consists mostly of single young men who have recently returned home from their missions. Of the 35 students in the class only two of us are married. I am the only pregnant one. Needless to say, I stick out like a sore thumb. Unfortunately, portuguese is not the only general education class that I am in this semester. I had to take a basic family history class to fulfil one of my religion requirements. This class is open to all students and it tends to attract alot of freshman. On Thursday, our teacher gave us a time-line chart that we were supposed to complete by filling in the current year and then continue back until we reached our birth year. It didn't take me long to reach the last open space on my sheet and realize that I was still lacking needed space for a few of my early years. The teacher saw my consternation and asked if I needed another sheet. I could only respond "Yes, please. I am afraid I am very old." Let's just say no one else needed an extra sheet.

You know you are Adam's mom when:

1. A person can look under your couch and instantly know which variety of cereal you have most recently purchased.
2. You had to spend $80 to replace a laptop power cord because someone wanted to "fix" the one you already had.
3. You can sing the theme songs to WordWorld, Dinosaur Train and Super Why.
4. You wait to call your own mom until Adam is napping for fear he will rob you of your phone call and therefore your adult time.
5. A triumphant sacrament meeting experience means no one asked you to leave.
