Fun With Grandma Pamela

My mom came and spent a wonderful week with us last month. My boys love when she visits as do I. These are just some of the fun things we did while she was here.

One of Adam's favorite things to do during that week was play in the playroom with his Grandma Pamela. She is so patient with him and his many, many opinions. Adam plays in very specific ways and we often find ourselves at a loss as to what we are supposed to be doing at any given time. Grandma Pamela always seems to know what to do to satisfy his demands as you can see from the smile he is giving her above.

James spent his time in the playroom watching the Hex Bugs. These little toys have a battery inside that makes them vibrate and move around their track. James thought they were AMAZING and it was all I could do to keep them out of his mouth. Not quite old enough for this one yet.

Caleb thought his Grandma Pamela was so charming that they spent alot of time together under this plastic tub. I have to give her big kudos for this one. Just looking at them gives me huge doses of claustrophobia but he adored every minute.

Adam loves to make cookies with his Grandma. She buys the sugar cookies from WalMart that have the Halloween imprints on them and they put them all on a cookie sheet together. Adam is still asking me for Ghost Cookies to this day.

This year Caleb was able to help with the cookies as well. Alot if his cookies ended up not being oven suitable for one reason or another and he cried when we put them in the oven to bake them but he sure liked them when they came out.

James just had to try one of the cookies for himself. I was grateful  to have his opinion as well.

Grandma bought a new book to read to the boys. They loved every minute of this children's classic.

Adam was, of course, full of questions about the book and the plot.

James even thought he would step in and help grandma tell the story.

For those of you who have ever started a conversation with Adam you know that he absolutely loves to talk---nonstop. Grandma Pamela is so good to sit and listen to every word he has to say. I was so grateful for the little break she gave me while she was here. I love my baby but it seems his mind never stops turning.

Caleb truly appreciated the big bag of candy Grandma bought. He pushed a chair over to the counter where I had put it and pulled out piece after piece.....unwrapping some.........discarding others. It truly was a candy massacre until I moved it to the top of the fridge where he couldn't reach it. Up to that point though it was a happy moment in a toddler's life.
