This year we celebrated Easter a week late because we had to spend Easter weekend moving. I was a little disappointed in the arrangement because I LOVE Easter. It is truly my favorite holiday. I love Easter candy, I love Easter food, and I especially love pondering the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The whole thing just makes me super happy. Thankfully all our kids are young enough that we could get away with pushing the holiday back a week. Actually, we could have skipped the whole thing altogether and they wouldn't have noticed at all but I just couldn't do it. Luckily, we were able to buy Easter supplies before the stores ran out and we enjoyed a wonderful Easter morning with our three boys.
A little bit of what they each got.
James' first Easter. He would sit and squeeze the eggs until the M&Ms popped out and then systematically eat each one. Once he had eaten the contents of one egg he would move on to the next. Way cute.
Caleb's favorite candy was the Ring Pops. I could barely get him to take them out of his mouth.
Ring Pop boy.
Adam gave them a try too but soon discovered they were sticky. Adam doesn't do sticky.
James had dad help him with his Ring Pop.
Halfway through our celebration the boys took a moment to have a pow-wow on the stairs. It was boys only, no parents thank you.
Caleb inhaling candy.
James discovered some more M&Ms on the couch.
Dad was nice enough to give Caleb a second Ring Pop, a candy bracelet, and some Nerds. Caleb was very grateful.
Adam adored his chocolate bunny. A boy after my own heart.
Caleb on a sugar high.
I think there is a little bit of sugar hysteria going on here.
A properly pleased Adam.
A wonderful first Easter for our James.
