It's been a whole year since I witnessed the birth of this amazing little boy and we brought him home. He enchants me daily and I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father has given Eric and I the opportunity to be his parents. I am also so very grateful for the wonderful sealing power of the Holy Priesthood and the peace that comes from knowing that James is ours for all eternity, not just this short life. How wonderful it is to be part of an eternal family that keeps growing in love and happiness.
Celebrating James' birthday was so fun. He was totally oblivious to the fact that it was his birthday but he totally enjoyed every activity and you can't expect much more than that from a one-year-old.
James was a little hesitant about unwrapping his presents.
So Adam offered to help him out a little.
Unfortunately after Adam helped him he didn't want to open any of his presents by himself. Maybe at Christmas........

A bucket of unspillable bubbles. What an amazing invention.
He didn't actually need the bubbles. Just the wands made him happy.
We ordered pizza for the occasion which made Caleb happy.
James enjoyed it too. Adam found something else to eat since he doesn't eat real food.
Caleb enjoyed James' cake just as much as he had his own the week before. This time we were smart enough to cut him a slice BEFORE he stuck his finger in the whole cake.
James started with a fork......
And then decided hand over fist was faster.
I think he had a good birthday. I love this boy!
