One Saturday in September we decided to head for Upper Falls Park to do some hiking and find a waterfall.
As you can see, one of our number was NOT happy with this arrangement and made the going pretty hard for a while there. Luckily the other four made up for it with their enthusiasm and love of binoculars.
There my little hikers go!
Adam finally chippered up enough to give Caleb a leg up as he climbed a rock.
Eric was happy to help our mighty helper do the same thing.
There they all are! Our mighty explorers!
And the cutest little pink explorer you ever did see.
Adam took a moment to pontificate about.......? I actually can't remember what he was saying but I had to capture this very familiar pose for future generations.
A dad is such a handy thing. So helpful.
Wowser! That's a big one!
My and my sweet girl.
After a lot of walking uphill we finally found the waterfall we had been searching for. It was pretty amazing as waterfalls generally are. If you squint you can see my brood there at the base of it. I would have moved closer but James, who is terrified of bees, would not go any nearer to where they were so happily buzzing near the water and I stayed back to keep him company. I'm such a good mother ;)
Yay for family outings!
