We took some time in October during Adam's fall break to visit the Grandparents in California. The boys were good sports during our long ride down and were rewarded by lots of fun and activity, most of which was had outside. It's so nice to be able to go somewhere warm while it's cold up here in Utah. Warning to the faint of heart: this blog may be long and rambling as it is just odds and ends from our trip. Good luck.
We were excited to see some cousins while we were down in California. Emmett and the boys had fun chasing each other in Grandma's front room for a while.
Everything is an obstacle course......
A happy, chaotic obstacle course.
David pouted because I wouldn't let him out to play too.
This is actually from our trip home but he is just such a cute sleeper I couldn't help myself.
Uncle Joseph is always so kind to share his ipad with Caleb while he works on the computer. Caleb thinks working with Uncle Joseph is way cool.
These two make nothing but messes everywhere we go. It takes me forever to clean up after them after they go to sleep at night.
Eric is always kind enough to help Adam beat the hard levels of any game he may be playing. What teamwork!
These two are finally old enough to enjoy each others company. It was so fun to watch them together this trip.
Caleb took a moment to spend time with Emmett as well but their fun appears to be more reflective in nature.
Adam pouting for some unknown reason. I'm sure it was tragic whatever it was. I love James's face in the background. His happiness almost balances out Adam's moroseness.
Eric deciding that Adam needed to be happied up. It's almost working....
Caleb's crazing swing face.
David's crazy swing face. Definitely some squinting going on.
Some looks of love for Grandma Pamela who was doing the pushing.
Grandpa Todd gave the boys a ride on this swing. David was in heaven although he looked mighty unstable up there and scared his mother plenty.
They had to take a turtle break while this one made his way past them. As you can see, the boys aren't really fans of the gigantic turtles.
David went back to see if he could swing himself after Grandpa was done. It obviously wasn't quite the same thing.
James using all his strength to use those rings to their fullest. He was the only one to try them. Always the brave one.
Peekaboo Caleb.
David freaked everyone out by repeatedly approaching the edge of the swingset as if he was planning to jump down on his own. Oh David...
Caleb catching a ride with Grandpa Todd.
I spy with my little eye.....
Uncle Taylor gave everyone a ride on the new airplane teeter totter. Caleb was in heaven.
As was David who fell off a few minutes later but kept coming back for more anyway.
Someone resurrected the camelot swords and the boys happily grabbed ahold and started smacking each other. And when I say boys I mean ALL of the boys.
Caleb in a one on one battle with his dad. I'm sure he was the victor.
A grandpa and his grandsons. David was safely in the swing during this chaos.
After the battle Eric decided it was time for some sports. He organized the little ones into a game of baseball/golf and the fun began. I think Caleb showed good form here.
James smacked the ball with two bats and then needed lots of encouragement to make his run first base.
Adam may need some work with his swing..... Or maybe the whole thing was more golf than baseball for him.
The players at their bases. They look so official.
Eric brought them in after the game for a group celebratory home run. Man it's good to be a Berg Boy!
