We spent one of our days in California at the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. The boys had a great time and we liked it so much that we bought passes so we can go back again and again for the whole year. What future fun we'll have!
These are the looks I get when I ask them to pose for a picture. Seriously, how hard is it to smile for the camera?
David clapping for the bird show. I think it was the highlight of our day.
James's look of amazement. I'm sure there was something fascinating going on onstage.
Caleb granting me a rare half smile.
Adam loved the show. It was so good to have everyone sit still and pay attention for twenty minutes straight.
This is Adam looking at the map we grabbed for him when we entered the park. He stared at it for a long, long time and referred to it often during the day.
Still staring at it. Caleb was nice enough to pay attention to me for a few seconds even though he had his own map to consult.
This was James's camera expression for the day. You'll see it again I promise.
We took a tour around Africa in the tram. These two could actually see what the driver was pointing at so they had the most fun of the four.
James couldn't really see anything so I got another one of these expressions. Don't judge Eric. He had just exchanged David for James and was trying to take a few minutes to happy up.
James must have finally seen something because settled down for a few minutes and stared off into the distance.
David was awful the whole tram ride. He couldn't quite understand why we were once again seated and he moved back and forth between our two benches over, and over, and over again. Oh David.
Adam measuring his hand against a lion paw.
Caleb doing the same. Isn't he cute?!
There's that face again. At least he doesn't have peacock face....
A little more natural for the lion picture.
Caleb took his turn climbing it too.
This is as close as they let me come to taking a picture of the three of them together while they played at the safari park. At least Caleb is photo shoot ready.
Our last stop was the carousel. James had an amazing time but he just couldn't stop trying to figure out how the whole thing worked.
David thought it was amazing, joyful experience.
Caleb was old enough to ride by himself this time around. He was quite impressed with himself.
Adam always goes to his happy place when he is on a carousel. Cutest thing ever.
We had purchased unlimited rides for everyone so when the first ride ended we moved everyone to the spinning bowl.
Dad even joined the fun and gave everyone an extra little spin to add to the excitement.
It was a wonderful ending to a wonderful day.
