Yes, yes, I know. My California trips have become excessive. However, in November my marvelous construction crew (I am not being sarcastic, they are indeed marvelous) left me with only one working sink, no stove or oven, and limited access to my two main floors. Needless to say, trying to care for five children in these conditions was near impossible. When Eric saw my distress he packed us into the car, kissed us all goodbye, and settled into his temporarily grim living conditions. We remained in our sanctuary until he gave us the all clear to return home.
Lauren and the kids were at the house the first night we arrived. Rebekah thought Maddy's outfit was AMAZING! As the only little girl in the Berg household she has very limited access to all things pink and fluffy. Seeing Maddy in polka dots and girl colors sent her through the roof. Maddy was not quite as enthralled with Rebekah as was Rebekah was with her.
Luckily she patiently allowed Rebekah to inspect to her heart's content. What an amazing older cousin.
The boys love to make cookies with Grandma Pamela everytime they go down. Adam and Caleb are getting quite good at frosting the finished product.
Some of James' frosting still finds its way to mouth before it hits the cookie.
And David is getting very good at evaluating the cookies I frost for him ;)
Adam's finished cookies.
This boy is so handsome and quite a good cookie decorator.
Blue frosting and star sprinkles.
And David's grass cookie. He really loved those green sprinkles.........
David tried Grandpa's boots on. I think it will be a few years before he manages to look normal in them.
These boys love each other!
Although they are sometimes crazy.
Someone's carefully created village.
Look at that smile.
Flying so high! James looked like he might fly over the beam several times.
Kisses from Grandma Bev. So nice of her to kiss such a dirty face.
Rebekah loved to jump until her brothers got on. After a few minutes with them she would ask to get off. Once she got off they weren't interested anymore and left. Then she would want back on again. It was a vicious circle.
Not quite sure what was going on here but Carly looks like she is being a good sport.
We had a supermoon while we were in California and I tried to get an amazing picture of it. Unfortunately I am not an amazing photographer, just and adequate one, so this is the best you get. As you can see, Adam was not impressed with my attempts to take a picture of him with the supermoon although he did like the moon itself. It got very large as it passed over the house.
