Snow Day

Sometimes it snows here in Orem. When that happens I spend thirty minutes getting everyone dressed to go outside and play. They then spend twenty minutes throwing snow around and running in it before they get too cold to stay out anymore. After they come inside I spend ten minutes disrobing everyone while they tell me how cold they are. Obviously, for me snow is an inconvenience. However, for my children, the snow is magical and marvelous and that twenty minutes is the highlight of their day. They were so cute playing in our November snowfall that I couldn't resist running for my camera.

My four hooligans. Yes, that is David laying in the snow.

Still laying in the snow. James seems to be contemplating the snowy road.....

Caleb's immediate desire was to eat a snowball. Looks like he is doing a good job there.

Lizzie decided to be brave and join the boys in their fun. What a weird cat.

Eating and running.

Adam made something big to throw at his brothers.

A happy tumble.

James took a cue from Caleb and made his own edible snowball.

Lovin' those happy faces.

A much smaller projectile. I wonder what happened to the big one.....

Throwing snow in the road.

And the last Berg Boy to give in and eat snow. Adam would never even think about putting something melty in his mouth.

My camera seems to have focused on an obscure snowflake for this picture but you get the idea of how cute he is.

Oh my goodness I want to eat him.

My photography often intrudes on the lives of my children. Just ask James.....

Pure happiness.

And finally, this one stayed inside and watched her brothers frolick from the safety of the window. Not only does she not own any snow clothes but she also hates the cold with a dedicated passion. Perhaps next year she will join in the fray and a little more time will be added to my endeavors ;)
