Halloween came and went in a flash this year but Kate and I made sure to take advantage of every activity available to try and inundate the children with Halloween festivities. I think we did pretty good.
The ward Halloween Party and Trunk-or-Treat was alot of fun this year and the kids ran around screaming like banshees. It was a nice baptism by fire for the ward I think. They are still trying to figure out who we are you know.
Rebekah was a little cold at the ward party and Kate was nice enough to share her jacket. She looks cozy.
After we got home the kids pillaged their pillow cases.
Our ward is super generous.
And the kids loved every bit of it.
Their enthusiasm rose with every ounce of sugar they ate.
Until it reached an all-time high.
We were also fortunate enough to visit Jaker's this year.
The kids loved the huge corn box especially well.
They swam in it.
And were buried in it.
Even Rebekah consented to being buried she was having so much fun.
I could not for the life of me get everyone to look at me for a picture. Oh well. At least they are having fun.
The boys scrambled up to the top of the hay bale pyramid for a picture.
Which caused Rebekah to want to be there too.
The boys played some giant tic-tac-toe.
And we all snacked on some tasty fresh doughnuts that were lip-smacking delicious.
Our Honda dealership and its sister dealerships held their own trunk or treat a few days before Halloween. It was an easy way to get candy and everyone seemed happy to go.
Rebekah was the most hesitant out of everybody because most of the people handing out candy were men and, as we all know, men are bad. Can you see her disapproving face?
The boys are looking behind them because the back of the car was a monster until they knocked the main prop down and made it just a car. Oooops. That's a Berg for ya.
Yep. Very disappointed with all the men.
This puppy had nothing to do with the trunk-or-treat but the kids sure did like him and his owner was nice enough to share him with us for a bit.
This guy was at the last dealership we went to and while everyone else was scared of him (me included) David went up and immediately started to smile and talk to him. He surprises me so much sometimes with what he does.
James, realizing that David was not harmed in the interaction, finally went up to get his picture taken too. Rebekah was still not convinced.
This dude made David's day and I think that trunk-or-treat at the Honda dealerships is definitely on our list of things to do in 2019.
