The Burton Family Christmas Party

The annual Burton Family Christmas Party was held at my parents' house while we were down in California. The boys don't see the Burton side of the family very often but they always have fun with their distant cousins when they do.

Adam helped get ready for the party by spraying off the lawn chairs. He loved the power behind his manly tool.

A BBQ lunch was provided by the grandparents. Caleb was a big fan of the hot dogs and chips.

James was also a fan.

So much so that he didn't want to get too far away from his food while he checked out Grandpa's watering system. It's important to be able to multi task.

The boys played dodge ball for a while with their second cousins.

Adam thought it was an especially amazing game and laughed heartily through it all. He even cried a little when everyone else wanted to take a break.

But let's face it, everyone needs a breather after a hard game of dodge ball.

Some brother time on the tramp.

Eric decided it was his turn to have a go and show off. Look at that pose!

However, the boys just didn't think he should have to jump alone.

Even David, who has a strong dislike of the trampoline, wanted to join in on the fun.

Grandpa also decided to take a turn. Look at that form!

After their fun on the tramp. the cousins decided to take a spin on Grandpa's airplane teeter-totter. How many children can you pack on that thing?

Five. I think five.

Grandpa and Eric were having a very pleasant conversation.

Until grandpa caught sight of me with my camera. He is such a shy guy.

Eric got the golf cart out for a while but everyone was a little too tired to thoroughly enjoy it.

David was especially taken with my cousin's little one Micah. Micah was such a good sport.

Even when David kept taking out his pacifier and then putting it back in. Poor Micah.

Later David got his hands on a Capri Sun and wandered over to Uncle Joseph to make himself comfortable. It looks like manly bonding time to me.

He also spent a few minutes bonding with Grandpa. Love that sweet smile.

And this one for dad. I would say Team Berg had a pretty good time at the Burton Family Christmas Party.
