The 24th of July is a state holiday in Utah. For me, it's an extra opportunity to set off fireworks with my family :)
Our 24th of July celebration started with our annual ward pancake breakfast and primary parade. It also included a candy rocket. As you can see, the kids ran wild trying to track down all the candy.
Some of our primary's parade vehicles.
A beautiful girl on a beautiful float.
Ready to run!
Handsome boy!
Ready to race!
David messing with the parade route. Oh David......
He loves his Rebekah.
Round and round they ride!
Go Bekah! Go!
A post parade break. Grandma Pamela was up for a visit and was nice enough to watch our parade as well.
Smush your grandma!
This boy loves his grandma.
As evening drew near we set our chairs out on the driveway and got ready to enjoy some fireworks!
Grandma Pamela and Rebekah sat back by the front door to protect their ears.
Lighting some spinning flowers.
James smoking himself in a smoke bomb.
Appreciating a spinner.
And a fountain.
And a bigger fountain. Eventually the fireworks I bought went so high that everyone ran for the hills and the protection near the house. Perhaps next year I need to think smaller. They're so pretty though!
Happy 24th of July!
