The Randomness Of July

Oh my goodness! Blog number 14! Here we go with my random moments from July.....

James loves Gabby and she knows that he is her boy. I love catching them together.

Sometimes Gabby sleeps like this. Weirdo.

And sometimes she sleeps like this. James likes to take advantage of these moments.

This was one of Adam's occupational therapy activities. Somewhere in that pudding is fruit snacks and veggie straws. As you can imagine, moving this stuff around caused him all sorts of stress and fury.

What a handsome, handsome boy! I love his brown eyes.

James graduated from the UPSTART preschool program in July and they had a ceremony for him.

He was so proud of himself.

He turned into quite the happy ham on the way way home.

Rebekah fascinated by Grandma Pamela's phone.

Sometimes when we make David wait too long for a peanut butter sandwich he takes matters into his own hands. We will have to work on that.

Rebekah was introduced to ice by her Aunt Kate and now she can't live without it.

Sometimes life is hard and you end up falling asleep on the table in front of the computer.

And sometimes it's your brother's turn.

Popcorn and a movie.

Smiles from James.

And pink perfection from Rebekah.

David and his brothers were playing tag in the dark one night after bedtime and he ran into a metal bed frame. It left quite a shiner.

The bruise spread and turned vibrant shades of purple after the first few days. Thankfully, no one from CPS showed up on my doorstep.

These two were playing quietly together one day and when I went to check on them they hadn't gotten into any trouble. How weird is that!?

A happy pair.

David has a little bit of OCD just like his momma.

And he is awfully organized.

And awfully creative. I wonder if his intelligence will be a hindrance or a help later on in his life.

Caleb enjoys building as well and his artistic streak always shines through.

Gee, I wonder where Rebekah went......

A picnic in the backyard.

It's hard to rest when Gabby wants to play. She just won't leave you alone.

Adam likes to make cookies with Aunt Kate.

Aunt Kate is so good about providing the kids with opportunities to express themselves artistically.

They all love being creative.

Look at that masterpiece!

Sometimes we play games with the kids. We do this not because we enjoy it (arguing, complaining, and whining reign supreme) but because we figure that we are teaching them important skills for later in life. Luckily, none of  them seem to have caught on to our aversion to the whole process and we do  always manage to have a little fun while we play.

He must be winning ;)

Bekah plays games for the first few minutes and then  starts doing strange things her game pieces. The cards from card games usually get folded into some sort of strange origami. As you can see, she is always thrilled with the opportunity to play.
