One of Adam's cub scout requirements called for a trip to a zoo in August. Kate and I packed up the kids and we made our way to the Hoggle Zoo in Salt Lake.
Big giraffes greeted our little people as we made our way into the park.
The zoo was hosting a Bugzilla event while we were there which meant there were 14 larger-than-life animatronic bugs scattered through the zoo for us to find. Adam was determined to find all 14.
I think he actually accomplished his goal although I may have stopped taking pictures at some point because the other kids got more and more distracted.
See?
There be lions in that enclosure!
Ants!
James balanced so well on this lion.
Caleb decided to find one with a little more personality.
Gross, gross, gross. David looks terrified.
Rebekah loved this gorilla.
My own personal gorillas.
An enormous butterfly!
Get along little ladybug!
How many children can we add?
Obviously not five.
Maybe I did manage to take a picture of each one.
Has anyone been keeping count?
I love the look of this elephant for some reason.
The kids loved it for its potential as a shelter.
More bugzillas!
My babies in a nest. They are so amazing!
We loved watching the bird show while we were there. Adam is a HUGE fan of all shows.
My other half of the four.
And my girls.
Happy about the bugs again.
A snow leopard.
Dragonflies. We had to walk out of our way to find these two.
Roar!!!!!
Rebekah?
Me and my babies.
Ride-em cowboy!
Lions for Rebekah.
Oh. My. Goodness. I can't believe I was blessed with this cuteness!
Some elephants. The zoo has two.
Inside the elephant display.
Rebekah was one of the only ones brave enough to play with the African instruments.
Adam was the other one.
Rhinos!
Rebekah was in love with this sea otter. She was so excited to see him every time he swam by.
This is my brown-eyed boy.
I love these children. I am so blessed to be their mother. On another note, I appear to have thirteen bugzilla pictures. Now I have to go back to get a picture of the 14th. Oh my OCD.
