James Is Two!

We celebrated James's birthday in April. James is just about the cutest boy ever and I love to kiss his chubby toddler cheeks. I was so happy to celebrate this birthday with him and look forward to so many more.

James was less than thrilled about opening his presents. I'm not quite sure why. He probably sensed that we wanted him to be excited and decided to be contrary. The terrible twos rear their ugly heads.

James got some stick on mustaches from some friends for his birthday. Eric looks quite manly I think. 

James reluctantly put one on but only because we asked him to. 

Adam surprised us all by choosing to put one on himself. He grows by leaps and bounds. 

We bought James some markers that write on windows. He is the artist of the family and I thought we should channel his abilities onto something other than my furniture ;)

He really colored up a storm. 

We also bought him a push toy that picks up blocks. He was zooming so fast that the pictures I took were all blurry. 

We were supposed to celebrate James's birthday the day we got home from California so Eric was in charge of buying a cake. I put the 2 on myself with some frosting just to make it a little more personalized. You can watch him not blow out his candles here if you want. 

James enjoyed his birthday cake. 

He was smart enough to let Suzie help him eat it so more of it got in his mouth. 

Adam and Caleb were happy it was James's birthday too. Who doesn't like cake?
