I was truly blessed during this trip to California to get a visit from my childhood friend Melissa. We don't often see each other because, for some reason, she often visits Utah/Idaho while I am visiting California. We were so lucky this time that we had a few days in the same state before she headed up north.
We got the slip-n-slide out to entertain the kids. I think it worked pretty well although Melissa's Bridget might be getting too old for these little kid games. How time flies. At least she was a good sport about the whole thing.
Macey seemed to enjoy it as well.
James was a little more cautious with the slide but he did enjoy the floatation device that came with it.
David didn't care about anything water related but he did enjoy the box it came in.
Adam once again got all drenched playing in the water. He never would have considered this last year. I love how he is developing.
Look at him go!
Adam had to race of course. Everything is a competition when you are a Berg boy. Luckily Macey was willing.
We had to move the slip-n-slide because the water was starting to damage Grandpa's grass. The move didn't seem to phase the kids.
Love Adam's smile and Bridget's balancing act.
David and Melissa shared a moment together. I just love this woman. The baby too, of course.
Caleb and Bridget sharing M&Ms.
James didn't want to miss out on the chocolatey goodness.
Macey flying high and trying to dry off.
James took a moment to really enjoy his otter-pop. One of life's simple pleasures.
After everyone was dry they spent time with the tether ball.......
and the swings. Jesse was so good at swinging these boys.
He even let James fake kick him and pretend that he was injured over and over again. James was in heaven.
We had such an awesome time with our friends and we can't wait to do it again soon!
