Burley: The Activness

We spent Fourth of July weekend in Burley this year. I love going to Burley for the Fourth because we get to play with fireworks. Being a California girl means that my exposure to fireworks was limited and, since I absolutely love them in all shapes and sizes, it has been such a blessing to marry an Idaho man and be able to enjoy fireworks every year in a legal fashion.

This year our Fourth of July celebration started earlier than the fireworks did. We arrived in Burley that morning and were able to spend some time with Eric's family eating, conversing, and having fun. The boys thought it was great.

James spent some time on the swingset. This is him telling me not to take any more pictures. I am afraid I can be quite a pest.

Prettiest baby face ever!

David somehow obtained his own bag of chips . He was quite enchanted at the prospect of having them all to himself.

Caleb asked grandpa Logan for a popsicle. He knows grandpa never says no, unlike mom and dad.

I guess he was saving that bit for later.

David adores otter pops. I think it is his favorite food ever!

Dad is so funny.

We spent some time on the trampoline too, of course. Adam was once again in heaven.

James is getting pretty good at the whole thing too. He is growing up so fast.

Caleb flying high.

I'm not quite sure where they got this or what it is but they thought it was the funnest thing ever.

Brothers!

David thoroughly enjoyed Grandpa Logan's dutch oven potatoes and chicken.

He also thought this plastic cupcake was quite tasty. Weirdo.

Adam and the Jasie. Love this photo.

I had been doing a mini-photo shoot with Jasie for my photography class and Adam wanted to participate too.  He climbed up on the rock after she was done and gave me his best pose.

He also posed for this one.

James didn't want to be left out either. Covered in dirt and food and he is still adorable.

It was hot that day but James found someone to turn the water pump on for him and there was quickly a nice cool mud puddle for him to play in. He kept pointing at the pump trying to get one of us to turn it on again so there would be more mud. I thought there was quite enough.

Caleb didn't want to be left out of the fun either. I love Caleb's muddy bottom here. I have no idea why he sat in it.

James wanted me to do something about all the mud on his hands but he didn't really want to stop playing in it to stay clean. He was definitely caught between a rock and a hard place.

As with most of out play, the game quickly turned into chasing, screaming, and tackling. My boys are such boys.

I think this picture of David adequately shows everyone's exhaustion level after our busy trip.
