Some random, happy moments from July.
One afternoon Caleb pretended he was a robot who was controlled by buttons on Adam's chest. Adam would turn the pretend buttons and Caleb would do what Adam told him. They both thought it was great.
A walking robot.
Sometimes David is just deliriously happy.
James had been sleeping for an abnormally long time and I started to get worried (yes, I am a neurotic mother) so I went to check on him. I was momentarily panicked when I couldn't find him when I opened the door. I finally found this in the closet.
I guess he was really comfy because he was there a long time.
This is just a beautiful baby.
Such a beautiful baby.
And then he does something like this. I'm sure there is a beautiful baby under there somewhere.
One day Caleb climbed in this cupboard and closed the doors. When I finally found him James decided that he needed to be in there too. I wonder if the tupperware cared that it was displaced.
Adam wanted to get in the shot too, but not the cupboard.
I was lucky enough to get some apricots from our bishop's tree this year. They had some bugs on them so I threw them in a tub with some vinegar to drown them. I let them boys help me get them out after they were bug free.
As you can see, everyone needed their own ladle to help. It was very intensive work.
Showing mom the apricots.
James had to show me one too because he missed the first picture.
I made apricot pineapple jam after they were done. Aren't they pretty?!
The little garden I planted in April has morphed into something large and unruly. My tomatoes are particularly bossy. I keep having to cut them back as they try to overtake other plants in the garden. You can see my onions struggling there beside them.
This mess is three pepper plants, one spaghetti squash, and a zucchini. They are actually a lot bigger now. The squash plant keeps trying to leave the safety of the planter box only to be burned on the hot asphalt. Maybe one day it will learn.
My plants were kind enough to wait for me to come home before they started bearing fruit. I have gotten so much zucchini now that I have started freezing it to use later.
My onions are small but so pretty and tasty. Just so yummy.
My tomatoes are so yummy. I have had to give some away because I can't eat them fast enough. I have since gotten peppers and spaghetti squash as well. So proud of my little garden.
And finally, Eric's white car bit the dust while I was in California and he had to run out and buy a new one all by himself. This is the picture the dealership took to celebrate his new purchase. Such a handsome husband.
